Our nationally renowned Agriculture Team is fully conversant with the Single Farm Payment Scheme that was introduced in 2005 - a system that radically changed the way in which agricultural subsidies were distributed.

Indeed, ever since the publication of the draft Regulations in January 2003, through to the Final Regulations in October 2003 and the subsequent implementing provisions produced by DEFRA and the Rural Payments Agency, we have been at the forefront of interpreting the likely impact of the new scheme and providing practical - as well as legal - assistance to our clients.

The team are able to advise on both procedural issues such as transferring or leasing Entitlements as well as what to do if a claim is rejected or penalties are imposed by the Rural Payments Agency.

Similarly the team can advise on issues surrounding milk quota as well as other agricultural grant schemes.
